In my view :
1) No one should use Keira to deal damage. Why ? At the time Keira was indeed the main delader damage, but with the arrival of Dante, everything changed. Keira is not competitive.
2) Arachne should not be used as a damage dealer. Moreover, she is countered by sebastian.
3) Astaroth and cleaverseem really great, but I don't recommend them. If you really don't want to tank with Dante, then it seems Aurora and Corvus is more appropriate. However Dante is an excellent tank. Placed in the front line, he has time to dodge auto-attacks to cast his spell before everyone else. The presence of a tank in front of him slows him down and makes him more vulnerable to enemy spells.
4) Qing Mao, should not be played. No player has told me how Qing Mao is better than Dante or Yasmine.
5) Yasmine is really very competitive. Helios is Yasmine's counter.
6) Shooters such as Ginger, Artemis, Astrid, Cheat Death, Vixen should not even be considered.
7) Some play Kargh. I haven't seen Kargh compete against Dante.

Boosting a hero just because it's one of the first you get doesn't seem like the best choice to me.

For my part I chose: Dante / Sebastian / martha. And Celeste. Celeste's only weak point is the randomness in automatic matches. Indeed, she could heal or dps at the wrong time.
But I don't think Celeste is the best choice. Fafnir and Nebula bring boosts to Dante and can therefore be considered.
