1) Gilead slows down the game. It prevents Dante from accumulating energy.

Galaad will stay alive... Yes, so it's a good defense, but it's a bad attack.

And there it is the same, Galaad slows down his entire team and boosts the enemy team.
He survives for a long time, but he eventually dies.
And Gilaad survives too long, which gives the enemy team time to heal 100%

I think the same team at 4 against 5 without Gilead would give a better score.

I know, Jorgen also slows the energy charge, but that's not the issue in this case.

In this case, it's a win against an 800K+ team. Why ? Because the enemy players used bad heroes. And the synergy is bad. In fact, we can assume that he is a new player who simply boosted the first heroes he found.
Qing Mao is really bad.
Astaroth and Gilead are 2 tanks. You don't have to play 2 tanks.
At equal power, this synergy will lose.

Conclusion :

This composition of 5 heroes is destined to tumble in the ranking. The more the other players will boost themselves, the more this team will lose because it has already reached its potential.

When attacking, full tank Galaad will slow down your attack and Dante's attack considerably. Gilead's presence will render Dante virtually useless.
Why ? Because Dante needs to accumulate a lot of energy to throw his Javelins.

Here is one of the competitive uses of Dante:
Dante Tank with Cain (familiar).
At the start of the fight, he dodges all self-attacks, each dodge boosts his energy thanks to Cain. Dante can therefore throw his javelins very quickly and demolish the enemy team.

I think Gilead has no place in guild wars at all.
